Xcell operates a farm animal and horse clinical veterinary practice. We offer a full 24hr/7 day service by utilizing an after hours roster with four veterinary associates.
Reproductive technology is our major focus; our internationally experienced team offers a complete Artificial Insemination and an Embryo Transfer service throughout New Zealand and internationally in deer, sheep, goats and cattle. Import/export of frozen semen/embryos and compilation of export protocols completes our total reproduction package for these species.
Arrangements can be made for ‘On Centre’ and ‘On Farm’ projects.
An Indication of our range of activities;
- Deer TB testing
- Pregnancy scanning in sheep, deer, cattle
- Deer velveting and support of deer farmer’s velveting under supervision
- Obstetrics in all farm animals and horses
- Individual clinical cases and traumatic injury
- Herd health programmes
- Assistance to small block owners with practical advice and support with ventures such as calf rearing, nutrition, internal and external parasite control etc
Routine farm work is assisted by a stockman and TB testing technician where necessary..
